Janel Nansenn, M.A., is an Educational Therapist and the developer of these highly effective programs. She is available for reading assessments, listening comprehension assessments, and consultations using the Gray Oral Reading Test - Fifth Edition and The Listening Test 2. For those that are beginning readers, a reading assessment is not recommended as their reading skills will not allow the full benefit of the program to be demonstrated. They will not be able to read enough of the test to see the true growth in comprehension skills.
In this case, The Listening Test 2 is recommended instead. This involves Janel reading to students and them answering questions about the material read to them. As this program teaches comprehension, this test would be a better representation of the true growth made in regard to comprehension skills after using the Read-A-Riific® program.
Some people like to see test results before and after using the program. Each testing and consultation appointment will typically take up to an hour. The time will vary based on the skills of the student. After purchasing the assessment, please download, print out and then fill out the questionnaire. Then email the questionnaire to info@readarific.com and we will schedule a testing appointment time. The cost for each appointment is $125. Therefore, to do both an initial and final assessment, the total cost will be $250 per student.
