After the soft launch of the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program in October 2023, Janel Nansenn, M.A., tested some students before and after completing the program in order to measure their growth with reading comprehension skills. These students were assessed with the Gray Oral Reading Test – 5th edition. The Read-A-Rific program takes 12 weeks to complete if done daily 5 days a week. The students below completed the program within 3 ½ to 4 ½ months.
A 10-year-old male in the 4th grade improved from the 4th month of 3rd grade to the 2nd month of 7th grade level in reading comprehension after completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program.
A 20-year-old male scored at the 2nd month of 2nd grade level in reading comprehension prior to completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program. After the program, this student scored at the beginning of 4th grade level.
A 12-year-old male in the 6th grade scored at the 4th month of 3rd grade level in reading comprehension prior to completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program. After the program, this student scored at the 7th month of 5th grade level.
A 15-year-old female in the 9th grade scored at the 4th month of 2nd grade level in reading comprehension prior to completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program. After the program, this student scored at the beginning 7th grade level.
A 9-year-old male in the 4th grade scored at the 4th month of 3rd grade level in reading comprehension prior to completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program. After the program, this student scored at the 7th month of 4th grade level.
A 15-year-old male in the 10th grade diagnosed with autism scored at less than the 1st grade level in reading comprehension prior to completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program. After the program, this student scored at the beginning 3rd grade level.
A 13-year-old female in the 8th grade, only mid-way through the Read-A-Rific® program, demonstrated a four-year gain in reading comprehension of literature according to testing at her school. She increased from the 3rd grade level to the 7th grade level.
A 9-year-old male in the 4th grade improved from the 4th month of 2nd grade to the 2nd month of 6th grade level in reading comprehension after completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program.
A 13-year-old male in the 8th grade improved from the 4th month of 3rd grade to the 4th month of 6th grade level in reading comprehension after completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program.
A 14-year-old female in the 8th grade improved from the beginning of 3rd grade to the beginning of 6th grade level in reading comprehension after completing the Read-A-Rific® Reading Comprehension program.
