My passion is teaching kids to read, and teaching visualization skills is not a strong point. I had to refer out if a student lacked this skill.
Now I plan on using this program in my own tutoring center to help students with reading comprehension and memory skills. I will be recommending this to parents of students that I think would benefit.
I am grateful Janel developed this program that is simple to use and cost effective. I know visualization skills work very well, as I have seen first-hand students GREATLY improve academically from this technique. I highly recommend this program for both parents and professionals.

My 15-year-old grandson, Aiden, has a learning disability due to autism. For about two months now, he has been studying with Janel’s new home program, Read-A-Rific Reading Comprehension - The Smart and Easy Way, which he truly enjoys. His comprehension has improved greatly! He raves about the home program saying, “The principal of my school needs to get the program from Janel for every student to use.” I was so pleased when I caught him looking over my shoulder when I was reading the newspaper on my phone. And he has actually read articles off his phone to me. I truly didn’t know if that would ever happen. We are confident that Aiden is on his way to a successful life, in a big part due to Janel’s new home program. He now has a B average as a Sophomore in high school. And he is a happy, content and confident young man when it comes to his education.

Our 4th grade son was struggling with school. When we started the Read-A-Rific program he was below grade level by a couple years in reading and comprehension and after the program he went to mid 4th grade level. His ELA test score jumped up 39 points after 5 weeks of the program. He hated reading before he started Read-a-rific , and after finishing he found a book that he enjoyed reading which has never happened before! His dad was impressed with how well he he was able to remember the paragraphs in the program and it was so simple and easy to use. Logan, 11 years old, has been working with Janel for almost a year. We were having a hard time with the picturing part of her program (I don’t picture myself and this made it hard to help him at home), and were excited to try her new program, Reading Comprehension - The Smart and Easy Way!
Logan loves doing the sessions and comes to me and asks to do them! We are 3 weeks into the program and Logan has made great strides. His reading has improved so much, his math is becoming easier and I notice he is working more independently on his homework. My son just turned 17 years old, and has struggled academically since early elementary school. He did not enjoy reading or
writing because he was not picturing. He only saw words that ultimately made no sense because he didn't retain any of what
he was reading.
Since starting this program one month ago, he actually gets excited about remembering and picturing what he is reading. His face lights up as he realizes he is retaining the information he just read. It's something I have never seen him do until now. He is actually becoming more interested in reading, and is enjoying the book he is currently reading in his English class. Prior to this program, he would not even open a book or engage in reading. Because of this program, he is also remembering how to spell words he was not able to before. The sense of accomplishment and confidence he feels by using this program is absolutely priceless!

Kannon is doing great and enjoying the Read-A-Rific program. He is only 5 weeks in and we have noticed improved growth academically, as well as a positive shift in his attitude towards schoolwork. I have noticed that he feels more confident in addressing and improving his own challenges. Both of my son's have been using Janel's product for just over a month now, with great results. My younger son Hoyt (9) is a good reader, but was unable to picture clearly and therefore unable to recall the story he was reading, or what was being read aloud to him. He is now reading chapter books, and able to retain, recall, and enjoy the reading adventures he's on.
My older son Travis (12) struggles with several learning challenges, for him learning to picture has changed his life in every aspect. He is able to overcome the obstacle of losing the story's content, while decoding words by picturing what he is reading. Hearing him read out loud, laugh, and talk about what he's reading is amazing!
Both boys now enjoy the challenge of spelling new words, as they are able to picture those words on their "Brain's Dry Erase Board" and even spell them backwards!
